Rehabilitation
In addition to our existing services, we now also offer the possibility to stable your horse for rehabilitation or a rest period. This can be in the form of box rest, pasture, training, or a combination of all three. After the rest period, we can start your horse up again for you or guide you in the start-up process.
As an experienced rider, trainer and osteopath, we have extensive knowledge and experience in training structure, anatomy and biomechanics. Our accommodation is perfectly equipped to set up a varied and effective training program for your horse. If necessary, we work closely with specialists and the attending veterinarian.
Structure and Care for Rehabilitation
An important difference in rehabilitation stabling is the daily structure. Certainly for rehabilitation horses, a fixed routine is crucial to reduce stress. This structure includes, for example:
- Go outside every day at fixed times.
- Clear movement schemes and routines for the order of the horses.
- Tailor-made exercise depending on rehabilitation needs.
Stress is very damaging to rehabilitation horses, and by providing a stable structure we help to minimize this. Horses that are not allowed outside are walked more often, so that they still get enough exercise.
Personal Attention and Appreciation
With us, every horse gets daily care and attention. We believe that a horse should feel appreciated, especially during rehabilitation or rest. This bit of extra care makes the difference: we keep a constant eye on your horse, and if we notice anything unusual, this is checked immediately and the owner is informed immediately.
Feed Management and Advice
In rehabilitation, we also offer extensive feed management and care advice. In consultation with the veterinarian, we provide advice on nutrition and general care, tailored to the specific needs of your horse during the rehabilitation period. In this way, we ensure that your horse receives the best support for a successful recovery.
With this extensive and personal approach to rehabilitation, we ensure that your horse not only recovers physically, but also remains mentally balanced.
